FAQs

Where does the nutrition information come from?

Cycle Vita Low PRO brings together nutrition information from several sources to give you more options when searching for and logging food. These include Nutritionix, the United States Department of Agriculture, and specialist low-protein food manufacturers such as Cambrooke, Aproten, Promin Metabolics, Loprofin, Mevalia and Country Sunrise.

Nutrition information can change, so check the product label and follow the guidance provided by your healthcare team.

How are amino acids calculated?

The food database includes amino acid information for specialist low-protein foods and some everyday foods. If a value such as phenylalanine (Phe) is not available, the app may estimate it from the food’s protein content using the clinical guidance applied by Cycle Vita.

Estimated values are clearly identified in the app. Treat them as estimates and follow your healthcare team’s advice when making dietary decisions.

What is my data used for?

Cycle Vita takes your privacy seriously and does not sell your protected health information (PHI) to third parties. Your data is safeguarded with robust security measures to prevent unauthorized access. Cycle Pharma’s privacy policy can be found here.

Why is a barcode not recognized?

The barcode may not yet be included in the database, or the camera may be unable to read it clearly. The branded-food database covers approximately 92% of barcoded products in the US, but some products may still be unavailable.

Try these steps:
• Make sure the barcode is fully visible, well lit and not damaged or obstructed.

• Hold your device steady and move it slightly closer to or farther from the barcode.

• Enter the UPC number manually using the option at the bottom of the scanner screen.

Can I use Cycle Vita Low PRO on more than one device?

Yes. Cycle Vita Low PRO is available on iOS and Android, and there is no set limit on the number of devices you can use. Sign in with the same account on each device to access your profile.

Why am I not receiving reminder notifications?

First, check that push notifications are enabled for the relevant profile in Cycle Vita Low PRO. If you manage more than one profile as a caregiver, notification preferences are set separately for each profile.

Next, check your device settings to make sure notifications are allowed for Cycle Vita Low PRO. Also review any battery-saving, Focus or Do Not Disturb settings that may silence or delay notifications.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time from your profile in the app. Account deletion is permanent, and your data will no longer be available after the deletion is completed. Before continuing, make sure you have exported any information you want to keep.

How do I suggest a new feature?

We welcome ideas that could make Cycle Vita Low PRO more useful. Email your suggestion to [email protected] and, if possible, explain the problem you would like the feature to solve.

How do I report a bug?

Email [email protected] with a short description of the problem. If possible, include the device model, operating-system version, app version, steps that led to the issue and a screenshot that does not contain sensitive personal information.

A member of the Cycle Vita team aims to respond within 2–3 working days.

Can Cycle Vita Low PRO replace advice from my healthcare team?

No. Cycle Vita Low PRO is designed to support day-to-day tracking and help you organise information about your diet and routine. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it should not replace guidance from your healthcare team.

Always speak to your healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, medication, formula or treatment plan.
